For students, instructors, and airline pilots

Log your flight in seconds.

Speak or scan your flights, get signed off by any CFI, and track currency, Part 61 checkride progress, and FAR 117. AI fills the row; you confirm before saving.

Voice entry

AIPro

Speak the flight, not the form.

Tap the mic, talk like you would in the crew room: “KMRY KSFO, two point one block, one point eight flight, two ILS approaches, all PIC.” The AI fills the row, flags anything it had to guess, and lets you confirm the rest.

  • Decimal hours, OUT/OFF/ON/IN, and approach types parsed in plain English
  • Uncertainty flags on inferred fields so you check before saving
  • Try voice entry for free on every account; unlimited with Pro

OCR scanning

AIPro

Backlog of paper logbooks? Photos work.

Most of us inherit a stack of paper logbook pages. The AI reads them, including the dittos, the T&G vs full-stop notation, and the corrections. Each row lands as a draft for your review.

  • Auto-detects column layout, skips totals and endorsement blocks
  • Per-row sanity checks so a single field never exceeds total time
  • Works on ASA, Jeppesen, Cirrus, and most airline-issued formats

Students & CFIs

From first solo to checkride, with your instructor in the loop.

Ask any CFI to sign a flight or issue an endorsement, and track where you stand against the Part 61 certificate you are working toward. Every item shows the 14 CFR paragraph behind it. You and your instructor decide what it means.

Endorsements & signatures

Free

Get signed off by any CFI, in the app.

Two things, both by certificate number. A signature is a CFI confirming a flight, requested from the flight. An endorsement is a CFR-cited statement a CFI issues from the AC 61-65K templates, requested on its own or given directly. The CFI signs in DaPilot.

  • Request a signature from a flight, or an endorsement from the Endorsements screen
  • AC 61-65K templates built in; endorsements print or export as a PDF
  • A CFI can add your flight to their logbook as dual given, or propose an edit you approve
  • Undo a signature or revoke an endorsement; the record stays on file marked revoked

A signature or endorsement is a record, not a determination of eligibility. The instructor and pilot are responsible, and DaPilot does not verify a certificate number.

Checkride reference (Part 61)

Free

See where you stand, cited to the reg.

Track progress toward Student, Private, and Commercial ASEL: areas of operation marked per flight, plus aeronautical experience pulled from your logged hours. Every line cites its 14 CFR paragraph.

  • Per-certificate progress for Student, Private, and Commercial ASEL
  • Areas of operation per flight, experience read from your logged hours
  • Look up another pilot's progress by certificate number

Advisory only. You, your instructor, and the examiner determine eligibility, not the app.

Airline Mode

Free

Five FAR 117 windows. Every limit cited.

Toggle Airline Mode and DaPilot tracks all four §117.23 caps plus weekly mandatory rest: 100 hours / 28 days, 1,000 hours / year, 60 FDP / 7 days, 190 FDP / 28 days, and the §117.25 30-hour rest. Numbers update as you log. Every value links straight to the eCFR paragraph. It is free for everyone, no subscription.

  • Appendix B max FDP table per report-airport timezone
  • Appendix C inflight-rest credit (in development)
  • Pre-FDP rest tracker with explicit acclimation flag
